2 1/2 c flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
1 c shortening
1 c peanut butter
1 c sugar
1 c brown sugar
1 TBSP vanilla
2 eggs
Cream together shortening, peanut butter and sugars, add lightly beaten eggs and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients together before adding to the wet ingredients and mix well.
Roll into 1 1/2 inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. With a large tined fork, press a criss cross into the top of each dough ball, flattening it onto the pan.
Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes.
